Who owns whom, and how much?

We build the ownership chain from notices and multiply stakes along it. Natural persons above 25% are shown as beneficial owner candidates: calculated, not declared.

  • Effective stake multiplication
  • Declared and calculated apart
  • Every ratio tied to its notice

Ownership chain

Direct, indirect, effective.

If a shareholder is a company we step to its shareholders; ratios are multiplied along the chain and stakes from several paths are added. The result is one effective stake per person.

Declared and calculated

What the notice says and what we calculate, side by side.

Direct shareholders are what the notice says. Beneficial owner candidates are our calculation. We never mix the two in one table.

“Candidate”: may not be the same person; confirm with the share ledger and declaration.

Definition and threshold

The Turkish FIU definition, rules in the open.

The calculation rules are fixed and written on screen. The same notices always give the same result.

25% threshold

A natural person whose combined direct and indirect stake exceeds 25% becomes a candidate.

Control chain

The natural person at the end of a control chain built with stakes above 50% is also a candidate.

If nobody exceeds it

If nobody crosses the threshold, senior management is shown, and this is stated.

No full list

Without a notice listing all shareholders the screen says “could not be calculated”; no guessing from a partial list.

Depth

The chain is followed four levels by default, six at most.

Threshold change

When a person crosses 25% up or down the change is recorded with its date.

Group map

Matched by name

The gazette carries no ID numbers; people are matched by name. Each link carries a “may not be the same person” note.

Report appendix

Relationships and group structure can be added to the trade registry report.

Cross-border structures

Foreign shareholders and structures abroad.

Foreign shareholders, 100% owners and corporate board members are found by rule in Turkish notices. Each finding comes with its date, notice and verbatim quote.

A country is written only if the notice text states it; never guessed. You can also follow the foreign shareholder itself by its company number; its profile then comes from that country’s official register.

Relationship engine

We find the links.

When a new notice is read, the people and companies in it are compared with the other records on your watchlist.

Shared officer

When the same person appears in the management of two companies, the companies are linked.

Shareholding

Corporate shareholders link companies to each other; the chain is built from here.

Same address

Other companies registered at the same address are shown as a separate link type.

Absorption and merger

A company that ended by merger stays linked to the absorbing company; history is not lost.

How the chain is built

We build the chain step by step.

The only source is notices; no ratio is filled in by guesswork.

The chain is built from the notices of the companies on your watchlist.

If a corporate shareholder is not on your list the chain stops there and we show it; add the shareholder to extend the chain.

  1. Direct shareholders

The split in incorporation and capital notices is read; each ratio tied to its notice.

  2. Corporate shareholders

If a shareholder is a company we move on to the shareholders in its notices.

  3. Multiply and add

Ratios are multiplied along the chain; stakes from several paths are added.

  4. Threshold and flag

Natural persons with an effective stake above 25% are shown as candidates, marked as a calculation.

Ownership alerts

When ownership changes, you hear about it.

Ownership is not a file you look at once and close. When it changes, monitoring tells you.

Monitoring

Shareholding and capital changes

Share transfers, shareholders joining or leaving and capital notices reach your e-mail, webhook and API under the “Ownership” and “Capital” categories.

  • Old and new ratio side by side

  • Webhook with category filter

Sanctions

The 50% rule

If listed persons and entities together hold 50% or more of a company directly, the company is flagged separately. Matching uses exact names only.

  • Company, officers and shareholders screened
  • Eight sanctions lists
  • Your decision is recorded

Our limits

Where the calculation ends.

The beneficial owner calculation is a strong starting point; it does not replace an official declaration.

A.Ş. share transfers

Usually not published in joint-stock companies; the last split may be old.

Dated split

Every split is shown with its notice date; you see how old it is.

Matched by name

The same name may be a different person; that is why we say “candidate”.

Confirm

For credit and compliance decisions confirm with the share ledger and the company’s declaration.

FAQ

Questions

If your question is not here, write to [email protected].

Where does beneficial ownership data come from?

It is calculated from the shareholding splits in the Trade Registry Gazette. Direct and indirect stakes are multiplied; natural persons above 25% are shown as “beneficial owner candidates”, marked as a calculation.

Why “candidate”?

Because people are matched by name and recent share transfers in joint-stock companies may not appear in notices. A candidate is a strong start for review; decide after confirming with the share ledger and declaration.

Why does the chain stop somewhere?

The chain is built from the notices of companies on your watchlist. If a corporate shareholder is not on your list or its ratio is unknown the chain stops there; add the shareholder and the calculation extends.

Can you see foreign shareholders?

Foreign shareholders, 100% owners and corporate board members appearing in Turkish notices are shown with quotes. You can also follow the foreign company itself.

Can I export the group map?

Relationships and group structure can be added as an appendix to the trade registry report.
